Let's face it, Foreigner's music has always had an orchestral drift. So it was perhaps inevitable that the band would reposition their songs in this direction, and it happened in May last year, at a show in Switzerland.
The current line-up are joined by a 58-piece orchestra and a 60-strong choir. The result is a nice balance between the rock musos and those of a more symphonic disposition. This works best on "Want To Know What Love Is", "Urgent", "That Was Yesterday" and "Waiting For A Girl Like You", since these tunes have always leant towards a more expansive area anyway.
Less successful are "Cold As Ice", "Feels Like The First Time" and "Double Vision" - they always work best when stripped back. However, this is mostly a successful interpretation.
