iamthemorning are releasing a live performance with a difference through Kscope
on October 19. The Ocean Sounds studio film was shot on the remote Norwegian
island of Giske and captures the duo at their intimate best with their live
chamber band.
“I saw pictures of the Ocean Sound studio for the first time around 2011 and I thought, ‘Wow!’” says singer Marjana Semkina. “It’s such a dream destination and you can see the Norwegian mountains in the distance. It’s super pretty and looks like it’s from The Hobbit. I knew instantly that it would be the best place for us.
“I love the way that the imagery keeps changing and blends with our music. This is something we’ve tried to translate into our music. I would love to play in front of people in a setting like that but since it’s a very distant location and difficult to get to, it’s not really possible at this point. So we decided to capture this as well as possible and show it to people.”

The 12-track, released on double CD, Blu-ray and
vinyl, collates material from the pair’s three studio albums.
