Akasha is a band from the small Norwegian town of Kjøllefjord.
The quartet had presented to the public an amazing fusion of symphony program and space. The songs were recorded in a real bunker, and the slightly "dirty" sound of the album is connected with this. One of the main particularities of the album were the echoes between the synthesizers and the mellotron. It seems that several people are responsible for the keyboards on this record at once, but Jens Andreassen alone was in charge of this whole thing. In addition, he still managed to play along on the guitar - this is especially noticeable in the latest guitar-oriented tracks.
The band's space influences lie in various effects, electronic inserts, noises, etc., although all this is skillfully woven into the album's progressive canvas. Psychedelia and various illegal substances have also left their mark on their music, you can feel it in some places. English vocals are present, in some places even in large quantities.
The group is quite unique, it is difficult to find an exact comparison: somewhere they are close to "Hawkwind", somewhere "King Crimson", somewhere even "Amon Duul II".
