Alpha To Omega : krautrock from Switzerland

Alpha and omega are two letters of the Greek alphabet: Alpha (A / α) – Omega (Ω / ω). Alpha is the first letter and omega is the last letter.

So this expression when it appears in the Bible, for example, means that God is speaking of His eternity and sovereignty. God is the beginning of everything (Alpha) and will end everything (Omega).

And this swiss group's idea is the same, in their only album “A life”. 

It's a rock opera and the entire concept revolves around a tragic story of Michael, which chronicles his life from birth to death. In the course of his life, Michael chooses a career, but he finally comes to consider all that he has lost in life. When his wife and children tragically die, the man lives out his days in despair.

 With guitar, drums, bass, piano and flute, in addition to six vocalists, the record is very good and worth listening to. At some point especially in the song "King Michael" it reminds of The Who, …notice the subtle similarity.

Only 600 copies of this album were recorded in 1976 and sold after a radio show. This exquisite rock opera, in which a man's life is told from birth to death, has become a cult object and Switzerland's most sought after progressive rock record at all.
